WhatsApp Scam.. Beware
The "150 rupees scam" on WhatsApp involves scammers promising job opportunities and payment for liking YouTube videos. The scammers pose as representatives of a global internet or social media company and offer a payment of Rs. 150 for completing three tasks of liking specific videos. They then ask victims to download a payment transfer app, which is actually a remote access trojan or malware. By gaining access to the victim's device, the scammers can obtain personal information, including bank account and credit card details, and gain access to OTPs and emails.
In summary, scammers lure victims with a job opportunity to like YouTube videos for payment. They trick victims into downloading a malicious app, gaining access to personal information and financial details, which can lead to identity theft and fraud. It is crucial to remain cautious and skeptical of such offers and avoid sharing personal information or downloading unknown apps.
